In the music of Gratitude Trio Jeroen Van Herzeele, one of Belgian finest saxophone players is heard from his most lyrical side. Meer nog dan anders laat Jeroen Van Herzeele zich in Gratitude Trio van zijn lyrische kant horen. 'Gratitude, intro' is is een ware hymne, waar de geest van John Coltrane over hangt. Al krijgt ze even later in een forsere interpretatie een oosters aroma en een stevige intensiteit. Met zijn kompanen, de elektrische bassist Alfred Vilayleck en drummer Louis Favre, wisselt hij groovy nummers af met bloedmooie ballads/mijmeringen en haalt nu en dan fors uit.
